Our Team

  • Mr Karaoguz has 33 years of Project Management and Reservoir Engineering experience consisting of major oil incumbency, consultancy and continuing education tenure.

He worked 10 years for British Petroleum in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska and Gulf of Mexico divisions where he has acted as a subject matter expert on Reservoir Engineering addressing the most complex reservoir engineering issues using analytical and simulation methods and the state-of-the-art and the research directions in reservoir engineering.

During his 20 years of consultancy tenure, he advises operating companies on Reservoir Engineering related issues, strategies and vision through a multidisicplinary team based integrated study approach providing guidance on field development and operations, depletion planning, reservoir surveillance, reserve assessment, EOR applications, RE operational input on drilling, production and facility related issues.

He has been teaching industry courses for Petroskills, Resmodtec, Mobility O&G covering wide range of topics such as Reservoir Management, Wateflooding, New Opportunities in Old Fields, Fractured Reservoir Modeling, Reservoir Simulation, Heavy Oil Production.

    Education:

MSc Petroleum Engineering from Stanford University, California 1984

BSc Petroleum Engineering from Tulsa University, Oklahoma 1982

  • Dr. Mustafa B. Biterge is a reservoir engineer with 34 years of experience on large international integrated field development studies in clastic and carbonate reservoirs. His expertise are in reservoir management, field development and planning, enhanced oil recovery (EOR), reservoir characterization and modeling, tight gas reservoirs, reservoir monitoring, smart well completions, hydraulic fracture design and evaluations, sand control, compositional and black oil simulations, pressure transient analysis and reservoir fluid characterization (PVT and EoS).

He  held the position of the Head of the EOR Capability Centre in Maersk Oil and Gas for several years, where he was globally responsible of scoping, selecting, designing and executing IOR/EOR projects for Maersk Oil and Gas assets.  Before moving to Maersk Oil and Gas, he worked in Schlumberger for 24 years, holding several managerial and technical lead positions.

Dr. Biterge has strong knowledge and experience on carbonate and sandstone reservoirs development. He has conducted subsurface and full field development projects in the Middle East,  North Sea, North Africa, Iran, India, Brazil and Colombia.

Dr. Mustafa B. Biterge helds a Doctorate on Reservoir Simulation, in addition to my Masters of Science degree on Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) from the Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering Department of the Pennsylvania State University, U.S.A., 1989.
