Mr Karaoguz has 33 years of Project Management and Reservoir Engineering experience consisting of major oil incumbency, consultancy and continuing education tenure.
He worked 10 years for British Petroleum in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska and Gulf of Mexico divisions where he has acted as a subject matter expert on Reservoir Engineering addressing the most complex reservoir engineering issues using analytical and simulation methods and the state-of-the-art and the research directions in reservoir engineering.
During his 20 years of consultancy tenure, he advises operating companies on Reservoir Engineering related issues, strategies and vision through a multidisicplinary team based integrated study approach providing guidance on field development and operations, depletion planning, reservoir surveillance, reserve assessment, EOR applications, RE operational input on drilling, production and facility related issues.
He has been teaching industry courses for Petroskills, Resmodtec, Mobility O&G covering wide range of topics such as Reservoir Management, Wateflooding, New Opportunities in Old Fields, Fractured Reservoir Modeling, Reservoir Simulation, Heavy Oil Production.
